ULTIMATE GOAL 
DS Leisure will supply high quality adapted learning materials tailored to the needs of individual low-skilled or low-qualified Persons with Down Syndrome so they acquire digital skills related to the exploitation of ITC Tools (Apps and Assistive Technologies).

Social inclusion:
DS Leisure promotes the inclusion of Persons with Down Syndrome through an innovative integrated approach for based on the participation in inclusive Leisure Activities, involving Professionals on the Leisure Sector and exploitation of ITC Tool. The project will also promote non- discrimination in education through the direct participation of Persons with Down Syndrome which are out of the scope of standard training offer.
DS Leisure will aim to faster the development of social, civic and media literacy also combating discrimination of Persons with Down Syndrome.

Open and innovative practices, in a digital era:
DS Leisure will be focused in the exploitation of ITC Tools Apps and Assistive Technologies) by Persons with Down Syndrome developing ADAPTEED learning materials and tools as well as actions that support the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).


PROJECT INNOVATION
DS LEISURE will be a unique and INNOVATIVE TRAINING based on the next differentiated premises;
•    Direct involvement and training of Adult Persons with Down Syndrome.
•    Based on experiential activities, “learning by doing”.
•    Promotion of the inclusion of PDS through the participation of professionals in the Leisure Sector.
•    Involving families and professionals as “supports”, not only as caregivers.
•    Involving professionals of Leisure Sector as “supports”, not only as deliver of services.
•    Training PDS is the exploitation of ICT Assistive Technologies.  


IMPACT
The project will impact on the previously mentioned target groups (Persons with Down Syndrome, supports, families, caregivers and professionals of the Inclusive Sector) and stakeholders involved in the support to Persons with Down Syndrome and also in the members the Consortium. We could distinguish among different kind of impacts:

In the short term, the project will increase the competences of 120 Persons, including Persons with Down Syndrome, families, supports and caregivers and 40 professionals related to Leisure Sector. In the short term, 1500 Persons with Down Syndrome, families, supports, caregivers and professionals of the Leisure Sector will be aware (300 persons in Romania, The Netherlands, Italy, Turkey and Greece) through the multiplier events, dissemination actions to be carried on through to multiplier events, participation in specialized events, exchange of experiences within, networks, project, website, newsletters, leaflets, etc.

In the long term, during 5 years after the project completion, thank to the work to be done by the Support Units, the project will increase the competences of 400 Persons with Down Syndrome, families, supports, caregivers and 100 professionals related to the support to Persons with Down Syndrome. In the long term, 1000 Persons with Down Syndrome, families, supports, caregivers (200 persons from Romania, The Netherlands, Italy, Turkey and Greece), families and professionals will be aware yearly during the 5 years after the completion of the project, through the dissemination action to be carried on through the multiplier events, participation in specialized events, exchange of experiences within, networks, project, website, newsletters, leaflets, etc…
